Tufts University participates in a comprehensive sustainability rating system for colleges and universities that addresses the environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainability. The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) is a program of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.
After receiving three silver ratings since 2011, we are proud to share that Tufts achieved a gold rating in November 2022.
Tufts publishes annual reports highlighting sustainability initiatives and achievements for each Fiscal Year (FY). Reports include both qualitative and quantitative data such as notable areas of progress toward related goals and objectives, energy-use graphs, and upcoming projects.
