Have an idea to make Tufts more sustainable? The Green Fund provides up to $40,000 each year to support sustainability projects proposed by students, faculty, and staff across all Tufts campuses.

Application deadline: Wednesday, September 16, 2026, 11:59 p.m.

Funded through the Sustainable Investment Fund’s annual endowment payout, the Green Fund makes it possible to launch innovative projects that deliver environmental benefits without requiring financial payback.

Past Green Fund projects include:
🌱 Upcycling Plastic for 3D Printing: A student-led initiative that transforms discarded plastic bottles into 3D printing filament, reducing waste while creating sustainable materials for the arts and engineering communities.
