Did you catch the launch of Spare-It at the Campus Center on Tuesday?
Facilities Services is piloting a new waste audit program. Using scales installed under the building’s recycling, compost, and trash bins, data is collected and displayed in real time with the amount of waste generated each month.
This technology offers a new way to visualize and interpret the amount of waste we create, as the university aims to reduce trash by 3% every year.
