Green Fund Coordinator

The Green Fund is a program to provide funding for the implementation of sustainability projects and ideas from and for the Tufts University community. Students, faculty, and staff from all of Tufts’ campuses are eligible and encouraged to apply. The Green Fund Intern will manage the Green Fund program throughout the application, implementation, and reporting process. This includes collaborating with applicants, project winners, members of the Office of Sustainability, and the Green Fund Committee.
This is an academic year position and starts in September 2022. Intern is expected to work 8-11 hours a week, working additional hours when there are significant deadlines and especially during the final presentation week in mid-December. These hours will occur primarily during business hours (M-F, 9 AM – 5 PM), and preferably in-person in our office on the Medford Campus. Sustainability Research Intern

The Tufts Office of Sustainability is seeking a student to conduct research on various sustainability topics and programs. This will be almost 100% computer work, involving researching a specific topic relevant to our work and writing a concise memo that includes a summary section with recommendations, or collecting and reporting on data for specific programs. A guide to the memo format will be provided. Example research topics include: how to implement sustainability into the academic curriculum, other institutions’ sustainable procurement policies, or evaluating the impact of educational and outreach programming. This an academic year  position and starts in September 2022. Intern is expected to work 8-10 hours a week, primarily during business hours (M-F, 9 AM – 5 PM), and preferably in-person in our office on the Medford Campus. Apply via Handshake with a cover letter addressed to Tina Woolston, along with a resume and a sample memo. A sample short memo is a document that evaluates options and gives a recommendation.
