The Office of Sustainability serves as a resource, catalyst, and advocate for sustainability at Tufts. The OOS can support student ideas to improve campus sustainability.

Tufts community members are very involved in upkeeping sustainability values and initiatives on campus. Student and employee leaders called the eco-reps and eco-ambassadors are trained in sustainability and act as resources for their peers.

Tufts also has great sustainable transportation options and received an honorable mention for MassRIDE‘s 2018 Spotlight Award for Excellence in Commuter Options. Students have access to car sharing programs, biking programs, the campus shuttle, and other public transportation such as the MBTA.

A great resource for new students is the Eco-map. This online map identifies eco-landmarks around campus like bike racks, public transportation, compost and recycling bins, and many more sustainable resources.

Any students or employees with ideas for sustainability-related project should apply for the Green Fund. The Green Fund provides funding for sustainability projects led by students or employees, up to $40,000!
