The Green Fund Committee invites you to attend this year's round of finalist presentations on Monday December 13th, 2021 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Alumnae Lounge on the Medford/Somerville Campus with a virtual option (RSVP for Zoom here). 

During this event, finalists will present their projects and then take questions from the audience in a poster session. The committee will be awarding up to $40,000 to one or more of the students, faculty, and staff whose sustainability projects made it through the rigorous selection process following this event. These projects have been selected to advance to the final presentation stage:  

2021 Green Fund Finalists: 

Save the Fishes and Do the Dishes - submitted by Maria Brouard 

Providing reusable, portable silverware to Boston Health Sciences Campus students to DECREASE silverware waste and usage (since takeout from Chinatown is quite popular and delicious). 

Green Fund Bike Rack Project - submitted by Noah Mills 

This project aims to address the inadequate bike parking outside of the Pearson Chemistry building by installing two additional bike racks in front of Pearson. 

SciTech Autoclave - submitted by Michael Saad 

As an alternative to the large capacity autoclave in SciTech, purchasing a smaller capacity autoclave will allow users a sterilization option that will save water and energy. 

Tufts Pollinator Initiative 2.0 - submitted by Nick Dorian and Jessie Thuma 

Tufts Pollinator Initiative seeks to grow its impact as leaders of urban pollinator conservation by planting new demonstration gardens on campus, training undergraduates to be environmental educators, and bolstering its research mentorship program.
