Picking up your share from Tufts

Medford/Somerville Campus Only

Pick-Up Window: 10:30 AM Tuesdays – 6:00 PM Tuesdays

Where: Tufts Latino Center, 226 College Ave, Medford, MA 02155

How to pick up your share:

Shares are placed in the kitchen of the Tufts Latino Center at 226 College Ave. in Medford. When you walk in the front door, just walk straight ahead into the kitchen. The house is not air-conditioned, so we strongly recommend that you pick up your vegetables on Tuesdays from 10am to 5pm to ensure optimal freshness. Currently, we are figuring out logistics for pick-ups after 5pm.

Shares that are not claimed by Wednesdays at noon will be donated.

  1. Plan ahead – bring a reusable bag to take home your veggies. Do not take the green plastic box that the vegetables come in. Leave this box at the Latino Center.
  2. Take the correct share. All shares are the same size and are in reusable green plastic boxes.
  3. Mark that you have received your share on the CSA pickup sheet.
  4. If there is a problem with your share, please contact New Entry Food Hub directly.

Why Purchase a CSA share?

Purchasing a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share is an easy way to support local food while enjoying fresh, delicious produce.

CSA shares provide financial support to farmers before the growing season begins, allowing them to purchase the supplies they need to grow crops. Every week, you will receive a box of sustainably-grown seasonal produce. CSA shares are a wonderful way to eat seasonally and try fruits and veggies that you might not see in a grocery store.

New Entry Food Hub welcomes new members with pro-rated pricing for shares that have already started up to two weeks into the season. Have questions? New Entry Food Hub can help answer them.

If you are studying at one of our other campuses or don't live in the area, explore other CSA options or find a farm near you on Local Harvest.
