Sustainable Solutions Fellows

Lisa (she/her) is a junior from Delaware, studying Environmental Engineering. At Tufts, Lisa is a coordinator for the Food Rescue Collaborative and a member of the Chinese Students Association. In her free time, she enjoys running, learning to play frisbee, and baking occasionally. In the future, she hopes to continue her education and professional endeavors in the environmental health field.

 

Carmen (she/her) is a junior studying Applied Environmental Studies and Science, Technology, and Society with a minor in Urban Studies at Tufts University. She works as a Deputy Editor and writer for the Features section of the Tufts Daily. Additionally, she enjoys hiking, polar plunging, cooking, reading, and rock climbing.

 

Sahm (he/him) is a senior at Tufts majoring in Applied Environmental Studies on the Sustainability, Policy, and Equity track. He is fascinated by the role that policy can play in making our society more sustainable, especially when it comes to reducing emissions. On-campus, he is a speaker coach with TEDxTufts and member of the Tufts Environmental Health League. In his free time, he can be found playing guitar and reading fiction or other kinds of creative writing.

 

ShaSha (she/her) is a senior from Boise, ID majoring in Biology, Psychology, and Environmental Studies. She loves drawing/painting, making jewelry, thrifting, biking, petting every cute dog and cat she sees, and soaking up the sun. This year as a coordinator, ShaSha hopes to make sustainability more inclusive and accessible atTufts and learn more about the intersections between identity and the environment.

 

 

Bergen Kane (she/her) is a sophomore from Washington, DC majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Engineering Management. She is passionate about renewable energy and environmental justice. She has experience interning at electric utilities and hopes to apply that knowledge as a Solutions Fellow. Outside of the classroom, Bergen is a project lead for Engineers Without Borders, where she is working to bring water access to communities in need, a practice coordinator for Club Lacrosse, and a member of Tufts Marathon Team. She is excited to work with the Office of Sustainability to help Tufts become a a model for a more sustainable future.

 

Sage (she/her) is a first year in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is from State College PA and hopes to major in Environmental Studies. She is passionate about sustainability and the environment. Some of her favorite projects she has completed includes Interning for the Grand Teton National Park Service, and working as Water Resource Intern. In her free time, Sage loves to ski, hike, and be outdoors.
