Tufts 2023-24 Summer Internship Grants

Funded by Tufts’ Emerging Sustainability Leader Internship Grant, current senior, Zoe Garderet interned with Groundwork Somerville this summer to help run their South Street Farm – the only urban farm in Somerville. She planted, harvested, and trellised as well as planned a harvest festival with activities like pickling, popping corn, and making jam using farm produce.

Zoe explained, “I’m learning about the benefits of urban farming, urban green spaces, and have helped lead workshops on environmental justice.”

Tufts students can apply for this internship funding every spring.
