ENV 0100: Sustainability in Action
Course Description
Each week in this course is a snapshot of a different area of sustainability, as seen through the lens of a guest speaker, at-home readings, and in-class activities. Students also pursue a career exploration in any potential field(s) of interest – from science to arts. Through this experience, students will learn and practice networking, reflect on interests, and gain an understanding of how different disciplines can help create a more sustainable society.
Students will leave the course with an understanding of the true breadth of sustainability and the enormous amount of career opportunities available, whether one prefers analyzing data, working with people, or digging in the soil.
Time commitment:
Class for 2.5 hours every week in the evening, extra-curricular activities, reading, and homework.
