The Office of Sustainability Interns

 Claudia Tajima  Fall 2010 -
Claudia Claudia grew up in the beautiful valley of Amherst, Massachusetts. She first joined the program as an Eco-Rep in Miller Hall her sophomore year. Currently, Claudia is a Senior double-majoring in Environmental Studies and International Relations with a concentration in Latin America. After returning from her study abroad program in Chile during the Fall of 2011, Claudia took the lead as a co-coordinator of the Eco-Reps program. When not hitting the books at club Tisch, she captains the Ultimate Frisbee team, enjoys the outdoors, bikes anywhere and everywhere, and hosts a hip hop radio show. Next year, Claudia hopes to work as an activist for the environment and social justice.
Bob Lynch Fall 2012-

A Jackson, Mississippi native, Bob is a first year masters candidate at the Fletcher School focusing in International Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, and Monetary Theory. He is new to the Office of Sustainability as an intern, but brings sustainability experience with him from his four years spent working for the US Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC. While there, he helped coordinate and implement many office wide initiatives towards sustainability and increased efficiency. When not studying or working in the Office of Sustainability, Bob enjoys reading, writing, skiing, hiking, and being an avid baseball and football fan.
Josh Fishbein Fall 2012 -
From Falmouth, Massachusetts, Josh is serving as the Office of Sustainability’s new database intern. As a junior majoring in computer science, he will be working on building a database of student’s environmental projects and organizing a symposium for these students to present their work to the community. Although this is Josh’s first environmental endeavor at Tufts, he is excited to be joining the OOS and to get more involved. Outside of work, Josh is an organizer of the club tennis team on campus. Some of his favorite activities include playing volleyball, doing yoga, and eating food.
Stina Stannik Spring 2013 -

Stina Stannik is a freshman from beautiful Doylestown, Pennsylvania, who recently joined the Office of Sustainability as a communications intern. She is planning on majoring in Peace and Justice Studies and hopes to someday find work in grassroots campaign organizing with environmental and social justice organizations. On campus, Stina is involved with Amnesty International and Tufts Divest. She loves playing and watching soccer, cooking and baking (and eating vegetarian food!), watching movies and TV, reading, writing poetry, kickboxing, biking, and learning new languages.
Sofie Seiden Spring 2013 –

Sofie hails from lively, colorful Austin, Texas. Sofie joined the OOS team in the Spring of 2013 as a communications and design intern. Currently in her second year at Tufts, Sofie plans to major in Environmental Studies and Anthropology. Sofie hopes that this internship will provide her with ways to expand upon her interest in environmental communications. Outside of the office, Sofie is involved with groups such as the Green Team, Tufts Culinary Society, and Jewish Voices for Peace. She also volunteers for a Vegan non-profit and founded a Vegetarian Society at Tufts in the spring of her sophomore year. Some of her favorite interests and activities include cuddling with her puppy Vincent Van Gogh, baking loaves of bread, watching movies, running, biking, yoga, and making art.
Christina Wu Summer 2013 -

Born and raised in the Big Apple, Christina is a senior majoring in Chemical Engineering. She just started working at the Office of Sustainability in the summer of 2013 as an intern. In the past, Christina worked at NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and wants to continue building on that experience. She hopes to go into clean technology or food science one day.  In her spare time, Christina likes to knit, paint, and work with children.
Past interns
